Our Weekend was Packed!

I had Dania's class from 9am - 12pm and could barely open my eyes when Hayden came from 1230-130pm. After that , I treated myself to He's Just Not That Into You on DVD and then a short nap before Alan came home to whisk me off to The Gardens.

We had our movie premier Terminator Salvation booked at 645pm and so we enjoyed our dinner at Yoshinoya (RM6.90 for a meal!!!) and then bought pop corn (Alan's staple in movies). Along the way, we met Dania and her family who were also catching the same movie! ahaha

We woke up exceptionally early (for a Saturday) at around 930am and since Alan was craving for fishhead beehoon, we showered and got ready and headed to our fav stall at Taman Desa to satisfy the cravings.

After the meal ,during which Alan almost got choked by a fish bone (!), we made a beeline for Parkson at Pavilion as we had been told by a saleslady that there would be a baby fair there till the end of June.

Excitedly, we picked up baby clothes at a steal and Alan made payment for a Graco stroller that would have cost us SGD 300 more in Singapore! Amazing, but true! We also chose a Winnie The Pooh set (of mittens / booties / beanie) that was o-so-cute and a blanket and a baby bath tub. Ok ok, I know the baby's not due till Nov but it's easier to buy and stock up now then wait for the last minute yea? hahaha

After the shopping experience, we sat down to enjoy some dessert at a HK cafe and then went over to The Gardens for a good reason :to buy our new video camcorder! Alan's excuse? Oh he wants to record the baby...hahaha I think it's just his new toy-fetish!

We tried out the Thai Assam Laksa at the basement of The Garden (the shop which sells S-Bread) and boy was it mouth-watering! The sardine came in chunks and the gravy was thick and tasty. BAGUS!

After purchasing our new Sony for our Son, we then went to Jusco to satisfy my cravings - DURIANS! We bought two packets of durians of supposedly v good quality for RM60 and then headed home where we cooked our dinner of phad thai and steamed pomfret. Nice!


I was super tired from all that activity and retired early that night...at around midnight!

31 May 2009 (Sunday)

The usual routine started at 730am when my alarm rang. Coco was having morning class today so we got ready and brought them to Taman Desa. The boys got very dirty again after the class and we headed home soon after.

After a brief rest, Alan and I ventured out for our brunch and had Japanese food at the basement of The Gardens at Sushi-Zen. We shared Unagi Don, Beef Ramen and also a Dragon Roll but burned our pockets at Rm69.

We also picked up some Japanese biscuits and munchies at the fair nearby...

Then, it was back to the camera shop to exchange / purchase some items and then HOME SWEET HOME!

After a 3 hour nap, we showered the dogs who were fluffy and sweet-smelling a while later and left for TTDI and a pub called Sid 34. This pub is run by a Brit and it is so special because Dogs are ALLOWED inside!! So un-Malaysian!! hahaha. We brought Jay Jay and Coco along in their best attire.

The Tan family (whose poodle goes for training in the same class as Coco) was already with Cloe their doggie and we all sat down together and ordered up some good food.

We were amazed at the number of doggies in the pub. There was even a Golden Retriever seated at the bar! Hahahaha. Dogs were allowed INSIDE the restaurant! Amazing!

Jay Jay was the star again (of cos) and many a lady walked up to me to ask for permission to pet my pooch. hahaha. He (jj) of cos entertained each and everyone and gave wet kisses freely. haahhaa. He was dressed in his little ladybug suit and thus looked even cuter than ever!
After the chitchat and great company, we left to head for home, exhausted but extremely contented at a weekend well-spent! :)

Happy 2nd Year Wedding Anniversary Baby!

As the title of this blog entry suggests, Alan n I celebrated our wedding anniversary the whole of today. He took leave and brought me out. Yay!

In the morning, we went to our gynae again to have our routine check-up. It was also time for us to find out on the gender of the child but the Naughty One had his / her legs crossed and refused to allow us a peek into the future. However, Alan is still very convinced that it is a Son because of a little hint the baby gave. But I'm not announcing till when I am sure. Baby @ 15wks 4days old

After the appointment (we were awfully grateful Dr Wong wasn't his usual late self), I took a blood test and collected some medication before we headed to the delivery suites. Quite OK and the father even has a comfortable arm chair and the tv to watch when I am screaming and tearing my hair out. How considerate of them!

The maternity wards were all full and we couldn't pop our heads into the wards but perhaps on our next trip, we would be able to get a clearer picture of what a suite (no less please!) would look like. The baby sleeps with the mummy in this hospital and that's nice.

After we left the hospital, we made a bee-line to Pavilion. We parked at Alan's office and strolled there and went to check out what movie there was to watch. 450PM I Corrupt All Cops (by Eason Chan, Tony Leung etc. Then, we hopped over to Red Box to croon and croon and enjoy a buffet luncheon set up and a free flow of soft drinks. hahaha. Per pax was RM18++ only! OMG!

After we had our lunch and screeched to our hearts'content, we left at 3pm and wandered around Pavilion. We went into Parkson and realised that they are going to have a Babycare sale from this weekend onwards. OH YEAH! Then, we went to share a toast at Toastbox at the foodcourt so I could take my pill.

The movie was quite interesting and depicted HongKong police in the 60s and 70s and how before colonial influence they were all (or mostly) corrupt. Quite an eye-opener.

Dinner was a stroll away at Starhill Gallery. We ate at Jgoya, a Japanese buffet restaurant which we had eaten at last Valentine's Day. At RM100 per pax, it was mighty steep and not worth the while because I wasn't very hungry.

AGain, I hung out at the soup section most but tried a variety of other stuff and left some space in my tummy for the wide array of desserts. There were macaroons, cookies, fruits, tarts, pies, cakes and HAAGEN DAZ icecream!

We got home at around 10+pm and went to bed by midnight after berating our daughter for forgetting our anniversary. hahahaa.

A New Best Friend?

Tonight, after a nutritious home-cooked dinner, we headed to Mango Mania at Bangsar to commence our 2nd Year Anniversary Celebrations (hahah that's just an excuse)!

We shared a mango cheesecake (low fat, low sugar and not that creamy and shiok) and I had a frozen mango yogurt and Alan had a Mango drink called Cube Cube- Mango. hahaa.

Then, we made a new Best Friend at a shop next to Mango Mania. :D

On Saturday 23 May 2009,

Alan and I refused to wake up till around 1030am. We called for a Mac Donald's breakfast and lazed in the house until the late afternoon. Then, we zoomed off the The Gardens where we had a late "lunch"at 6pm and caught the 630pm Night At the Museum II.

It was a deliciously funny and entertaining show and the monkey, Dexter, in my humble opinion, stole the show :) After the movie, it was almost 830pm and we roamed around Borders (I bought a Baby book again) and then left for Chinatown to have our dinner.

Alan (errr and I?) wanted to try the Hokkien Mee stall which had been featured on Astro channel as a recommended stall to try. We parked near a hotel and then ventured ourselves to look for the place along Jln Hang Lekir.

Using the Iphone GPS (a very useful device, I must add), we arrived in one piece after walking through the cramped lorongs filled with fake LVs and Guccis. I didn't even take a second glance and just paced through speedily in order to get out of the way of seedy characters.

Finally, we arrived at the stall and boy was it crowded. We were directed to our seats and ordered (black) Hokkien mee for two and cabbage + meat "ball"soup and two glasses of barley water.

In the end, after the meal, both of us were sorely disappointed at the non-praiseworthy noodles and declared that the barley drink was the saving grace of our dinner. *sigh*

Again we had to wake up early (read 730am) to bring Coco to obedience school. He didn't do a good job today so we were half relieved when the trainer postponed Coco's exam (and the rest of the class') till middle of June, instead of next week!

To satisfy my cravings, we hopped over to the food court next door and ordered some sinful breakfast. I had chicken chop with black pepper sauce and Alan had lamb chops with the same sauce.

Then, it was home sweet home and all five of us (2 adults, 1 little baby in womb and 2 doggies) fell fast asleep. ZzzzzZz

Actually, at 5pm, Jay Jay was slated to commence another 10 sessions , this time of Novice training. However, the Pregnant Mama cajoled and threatened and pleaded and in the end, we didn't turn up for the lesson. heehe.

We went, instead, to the Bangsar Pasar Malum. The mangosteens were beckoning and we bought 2kg worth. We also picked up some prawns and two big pomfrets which were fast flying off the counter of the fish monger's. We also bought Rm28 worth of vegetables from the Indian lady again.

Next stop: TMC where we bought around RM200 worth of groceries to fill the bellies of the husband, the wife and the child. haha. Then, an idea struck us: We left quickly for home and Alan whipped up a storm in the kitchen and dished up pork chops and aglio olio. It was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

Mum's Place

We went to visit our ID consultant again in the evening today all the way in PJU. While the discussion was fruitful, we were left starving when we were about to leave (at 730pm)and asked for recommendations for a place to have a good dinner.

The Thai restaurant Mum's Place was suggested and we strolled over there to find that it was a huge restaurant with interesting decor and great service. We ordered a Tom Yum Seafood soup for two, a big fried fish with special belachan sauce, Portugese Devil Curry and a vegetable and tucked in merrily when the food came in a jiffy. We shared a thai water chestnut and red ruby at the end of our meal and went home satisfied but Rm112 poorer.

To protect my baby (and because I was feeling lazy), I cancelled my class with my coughing-student and had the whole day off to myself. I wasn't feeling very well also and had woken up with a headache. Hopefully, I am not coming down with something..

We went out for a late dinner this evening as Alan had come up very late from work again. So it was Robson's for dinner. And we satisfied our cravings for Curry Fish Head and also had a claypot filled with abalone, fish maw, sea cucumber, mushrooms and vegetables. Delicious. The bill? A mere RM50.

Jay Jay's EXAM!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Late this morning, we left for Taman Desa with bated breath to send Jay Jay for his pre-novice examination. We were pretty tensed as we didn't really train Jay Jay for this and we hoped that he would at least pass and if better get a good grade.

Mr Khoo, the examiner did not turn up at the stipulated 1145am time slot but at 1215pm but by then Jay Jay was already bored and restless. hahaha Poor fella. It was pretty hot, for the Pregnant Mama as well so we were all relieved when the examiner turned up.

Jay Jay did his sit-stay and down-stay perfectly and I was relieved. The heel work was OK and I remembered to walk slowly and not halt instantaneously, giving Jay Jay some time to keep up. At the Recall section, he needed a bit of encouragement to come to me but he did the "Finish"part (moving from his seat in front of me to my left hand side) perfectly. Mr Khoo also praised him for his anticipation of my moves and good response. :D Yay!

In the end, our best little second son emerged with 94 / 100 marks! Woweee!

In the evening, after bathing the two little ones, and in celebration of Jay Jay's excellent results (that's just an excuse), Alan and I went to Victoria Station in Damansara to have dinner. We followed the GPS and it brought us there without a hitch. We were also excited to see many other restaurants in that area and vowed to come again to explore the vicinity :D

My Chilli Mexican Soup paled in comparison to Alan's usual choice of Cream of Mushroom Soup and so did my main course of Lamb and Salmon Combo. Alan had his usual beef (t-bone this time) and I polished off all my greens and his as well.

We went back to watch a dvd of Dragon Tiger Gate which bored the hell outta The Husband. haha.
