Home Sweet Home

18th Decemeber 2007 Tuesday

The driver picked us up for KLIA at 630am and we arrived an our later. To our horror, when checking in, we realised that Alan had not brought with him his paper ticket, assuming that e'thing was electronic.

We contemplated getting the Lanson Place pple to send a taxi-driver with the ticket, amongst many other options but in the end, Alan bought a new one-way ticket back. He will use the other one for his next trip.; p

Our flight was at 0855 and we reached SIN abit late as the flight took off and landed late. Ecstatic that we were back in our homeland, we stood at attention and took the pledge, coupled with the fist our heart thing, and also burst into We Are Singapore song as we waited for our bags.

Daddy was waiting patiently at the gates and we went home to dump our 39.2kg-heavy suitcases. Then it was our Mee Pok Tah fix at Upper East Coast Road and an afternoon nap before dinner.

Alan, Jean and myself left for Suntec City at ard 5 to purchase wat was left to purchase of our winter wear. Thankfully the shops were having their sales as we were still adjusting to spending SGD instead of RM. hahaha. We bought gloves and jackets etc and had a light lunch of Aunty Annie's.

Dinner was at Chong Qing Hotpot and a delicious and satisfying affair - to celeb Ah Ma's bday and also to welcome Alan and I home. We did not leave the restaurant until approx 10pm!

19th December 2007 Wednesday

We woke up late and had a hearty breakfast curtesy of May from Delifrance. Then it was packing for Japan and figuring out what to bring. Alan and I both have dinner plans later at Esplanade No Signboard Seafood restaurant - where the pigging out will begin again.

And then when tomorrow comes, our Japanese adventure will begin - Welcome to the land of weird inventions and slit-eye MCPs. YaY

Monday Blues?

17 December 2007 Monday

Today, we sent Jay Jay away to Robin's house to spend X'mas. We would be away from KL from 18th to 29th so we decided that Robin was the best bet. The lil' fella is too small to be put in boarding houses for pets and they will not take him as he hasn't had his second jab yet. He's just turned 2 months (DOB 12/10/07).

Anyway, Jay Jay and his entourage (of Alan, myself, Robin and Nicky) arrived at Robin's at approx 445pm after we briefed Robin in much detail about JayJay's needs. We filled two plastic bags worth of Jay Jay's barang barang for Robin to use.

After a tearful good'bye, we went to a geomancer near Carrerfour to consult her on Alan's new office fengshui. We learnt many things and it was really quite eye-opening as whatever that Catherine said was quite on-the-dot.

Dinner was delicious and we feasted on steamed fish, pork knuckle stew, vege and thai-styled chicken. Uncle Oleng came to pass Alan some medicine for Ah Ma as well.
If you are guessing that the day was over then, you are wrong...

Robin wanted to purchase this maltese he had fallen for and we all hopped into the car and zoomed down to Petsmore - a newly opened outlet. Ahhh indeed the Maltese was a cutie although abit on the big side. (But of cos Jay Jay won the gold medal in the cute-department.) Since Alan and I had set the standard so high, Robin was still contemplating when we left Petsmore for home.

A Well-Spent Sunday

16 December 2007 Sunday

We woke late today and had a leisurely breakfast at the cafe downstairs. Fried noodles, nasi lemak, yoghurt, etc. *cringe* In a way, I am thankful, we are only allocated breakfasts on the weekends. ;p

After playing a while with Jay Jay, we showered and got ready for the KLCC expedition. Alan had reserved a sweater from Calvin Klein the previous day at Pavilion, to be collected from the outlet at KLCC today.

We arrived at KLCC around noon and begun to walk around. We picked up a different sweater at CK, nicer than the one we reserved..cheaper too! And walked around somemore. I tossed a coin and decided to cut my hair at Saw Salon (instead of Fusion), even though Alan didn't have a very good experience the other time he was there in AUgust.

I left Alan and got into the salon chair, to be served by Andy. Alan went on his way to buy his pressies for his colleagues. In an hour and a half, Alan got back and was astounded to see that his wife was now sporting a very short, boyish hairstyle. He tried to hide his displeasure but I knew him too well. hahaha. He presented me with a very thoughtful present - a Arts and Craft Book from Kino. :D Yay.. I can add to my collection of clay figures already!

Anyway, we continued the Xmas present buying saga. And at the end of the day, all but crawled back to the car to get home to Lanson. Once we arrived home, we quickly got e'thing ready and bathed Jay Jay in his very first bath with his parents. hahaa. The fella splashed around in his bath basin, probably not enjoying every moment of it. After shampooing him and conditioning his fur, we then dried him with the hotel hair dryer. ;D He became our lil' fluff friend again. *grins*

Excited by the prospect of adding to our clay figuring collection, Alan and I flipped open the newly-bought bk and found a cute picture of an Easter bunny inside. Both of us then proceeded to knead the left-over clay according to the instructions printed. A kangaroo-looking Easter Bunny emerged after a while and we sent it into the oven for baking. :)
